Addiction is Not a Disease
We at The Mission House North Kitsap firmly believe that addiction is not a disease, it is a sin condition. It is a worship disorder resulting from a deceitful heart.
We have developed a Bible-based, Christ-centered, transformation program designed to establish an intimate relationship with our Creator, our Father in heaven. Whether we are establishing a new relationship or rekindling a broken one, there is only one answer – Scripture. Scripture is the only way to effectively overcome an addiction.
An addict is ruled by sin, whatever the addiction may be. It has become the master of that person. But this is not true for a Spirit-filled Christian believer. Romans 6:6 states, “That our old self was crucified with Him, in order that our body of sin might be done away with, so that we would no longer be slaves to sin; for he who has died is free from sin.” Again in II Corinthians 5:17, “Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creature; the old has gone and the new has come.”
