About us
Kuda has its roots in the bloodstock insurance industry, and the intention has always been to diversify into other niche insurance industries. We have since diversified into Sport Horse, Game and Wildlife and Aviation insurance, and offer a range of personal and commercial short-term insurance products as well as foreign exchange services to these niche client groups. Our model is a direct one, i.e. distribution via a Kuda employed sales team as opposed to selling via independent intermediaries. We believe this is critical to our ability to quantify and manage risk better than our competitors. Additionally, we believe that this creates a more profitable business model given the impact on cost of sales. Our representatives also tend to come from the industries into which we sell, rather than the traditional insurance industries thus making them more adept to understanding the needs of our clients, and building relationships with these clients. Our brand is strong, and we invest heavily into building it further. Our direct model also avoids any dilution of the brand that one gets by selling via independent intermediaries. Administration is at the core of a financial services business such as ours, and we have invested heavily into people and systems to ensure we remain best in class. Our new purpose built administration system will not only dramatically improve credibility and accessibility of our data, but also open exciting opportunities for sharing data with clients and other stakeholders.
