Since, Lansdowne also happens to be a military dwelling, unauthorised construction(sprouting of new hotels) is not easy. Had quite a struggle(lasting 4-5 hrs) before getting a hotel reservation when I went there on a weekend a month ago. Uttarakhand tourism's rooms and bunglows can be booked online. Please book before you go to avoid last minute surprises. Ayushi Anand Just got back from Sitlakhet(Uttarakhand). Stayed at Youreka's camp site and had a fab time! Travelling time - 10 hours from Delhi (6 hours in Shatabdi and 3-4 hours drive)
