I won't go anywhere else in NC. This is a clean shop that follows the law & respects their art & their customers.
From a piercing perspective, they won't use shoddy, plated, plastic, aftermarket, or substandard jewelry to pierce with. They won't give you a piercing that isn't going to work on your body, and they won't give you a piercing that is trendy but too dangerous. I have had 4 piercings with Roberta & she has gauged up my ears numerous times & my nose once.
From tattooing perspective, Jerry (Gerald) has been my artist of choice & I have sat with him at least 7 times. I love the work he has done. Clean outlines & great color saturation. I have 2-3 more sittings with him to complete a piece on my leg & once that is done we have already started planning for another piece.
I have a heart condition & am diabetic which are both challenges when it comes to getting tattoos and piercings. Both Roberta & Jerry are knowledgeable on the additional steps & care these conditions require both of me & of them to ensure I have a quality result.
This is a shop you want to build relationship with & you will not be sorry once you have.
Looking to get a tattoo today anyone know a clean good place that doesn't require an appointment? I recently posted a similar question but I procrastinated and i can't find my original post with the excellent suggestions

Is there any place in wake forest to take a teen to get her ears pierced, or am I going to have to go to the mall? LOL
Roberta P. replied:
Hey guys, yes guns are considered dangerous and unsanitary and environmental services asks us not to use them. Walmart, Clair's, places like the mall are not mandated by health rules and regulations and can pretty much do whatever they want. The guns cause trauma to the ear because you are literally "cramming" a dull piece of jewelry through the tissue. The needle is sterile, one time use opened and disposed of in front of you. The needle is same as a shot needle or one used to draw blood, so it cuts a perfect circle removing the tissue and not causing the damage the gun does. It heels a lot better as well. Please feel free to stop by the tattoo shop and I will be happy to go over everything with you, show you the process, and answer any questions you would have. I am off on Sunday and Wednesday every week and some Tuesday's always there Thursday Friday and Saturday tho. You can also call with questions 919-554-1466. Please forgive the long drawn out text I just wanted to cover as much as I can.
Anyone know of a good place to get my daughters ears pierced. I know Claire's does, but I am curious if there are any doctors offices. Our pediatrician used to, but I don't think they do anymore. Thank you!
Roberta P. replied:
Google guns vs professional piercing please. I am a professional body piercer here in wake forest, and pierce children's ears all the time. It is less painful than the gun. But can be a little intimidating to a child. I am very patient and love kids and welcome you to come into our shop and talk to me in person. Our environmental services does not like the guns and asks us not to use them. Guns are dangerous and unsanitary, and the mall and walmart are not under any obligation to follow health rules and regulations and can do whatever they want. The reason I say to google the subject is I in no way want anyone to think we state this so they will come to us, it is a real issue. Feel free as a mother to call me at 919-554-1466 between 12-10 pm tomorrow and I'll be happy to discuss with you any question/concerns you may have. You are also more than welcome to bring your daughter by to talk with me, even if you don't get it done right then!!
