  Beekeeping is a very expensive habit. Just plan on buying a good, healthy package. If not, then you are only inheriting someone's else' troubles. There is the Honey Stop, Jones Bees, EcoBee Box, Knight Family Honey, Harvest Lane Honey and probably a couple more.

  There are actually many more options this year than even just last year, and most are comparable in price. among them are Jones' Bees, Knight Family Honey, Eco Bee Box, The Honey Stop, and Apis Hive Company. I personally have enjoyed very nice bees from Knight and am looking at Apis Hive this year.

  KFH pays a premium to have our packages delivered to Utah in the best stress free environment possible. In an air ride temperature controlled environment, the bees do not get too hot or too cold they are travailing in a perfect temp. & are not bounced up & down out of there cluster for 700 miles travailing to Utah from California on I-80 in some flat bed or a horse trailer. Yes I have done this in the passed (10 years ago) and we will never! never! do this agian! The difference in the quality of the package bees and the percentage of queen acceptance was dramatic This said, Knight Family Honey's package bees are around the same price as most other suppliers. KFH is the only distributor here in the inter-mountain west that gets there package bees this way from Olivarez Honey bees in Ca. Ask the supplier that your thinking about were they get there package bees from? Different suppliers may be, the same package bees
