  Sealing recommendations for butcher block? Hey everyone, we recently installed an 8’ butcher block slab to be used as an office desk. We really love the natural light color of the wood in the room, so don’t want to do a heavy stain or finish. Any recommendations on sealing products? Looking for something that will hold up to wear and tear of everyday office use, mugs, cups, scratches, etc but doesn’t need to be food safe Have seen a lot of recommendations for Watco, tung/linseed oil or can I just go with a polycyclic minwax?   Rubio [monocoat](rubiomonocoat.com) is AMAZING. Waterproof, low VOC, tons of color options, and you don’t have to worry about multiple coats since it’s a one and done. Couldn’t recommend more!
