Hey Guys! Don Murray again here in Cancun with International Living Magazine. Thanks for the previous help on my two past projects. My next assignment (drum roll please) is to write a short piece on the best Beach Bars. I know! Tough assignment, right? Yes, the candidate bar has to be on the beach....not a block or two away. I think a good beach bar draws the right tribe of folks. Shouldn't be too drunk and rowdy but should be fun-loving and friendly.
So what makes a good beach bar? Well, for me it's ice cold beer and awesome Margaritas sitting where I can see a great view and the place has a good vibe. Good tunes helps but isn't mandatory. Depends on my mood. I prefer authentic to plastic, if you know what I mean...A great server gets bonus points! They should also have a few great bar snacks...not necessarily a restaurant menu but good bar snacks. You know what I mean?
What's your vote for the best beach bar on the Riviera Maya? Cancun? Puerto Morelos? Playa del Carmen? Tulum? Where is it and why do you think it's great! I have to conduct some serious research before I write this piece! :-)
As always, thanks!
