I am a licensed massage therapist, practicing for over sixteen years. I studied at SHI Integrative Medical Massage School. My massage is a blend of medical massage and relaxation massage. It is my strong belief that the mind must be relaxed in order to make progress with structural and muscular issues.
Legit therapeutic massage? I'm having some stiffness and lower back pain. Does anybody know any good places to get a legit therapeutic massage that's not in a clinical environment but not at a really girly salon? Reasonable rates would be nice too.

My wife swears by [Lara Rumizen](https://www.facebook.com/lararumizenlmt/), in Northside. She shares space with a Pilates studio, neither clinical nor salony. Pleasantly hippy, if you like that sort of thing, but not in an oppressively covered-in-crystals way.
Does anyone know the name and number of the massage therapist who has a business in Northside on hamilton ave? Her name was on the bits and pieces newsletter a few weeks ago

Not on Hamilton, but off it on Addingham is Rumizen Massage. Info at www.RumizenMassage.com :)
