  Hi guys, Does anyone know of a car insurance company who will sell us insurance for The States. We have a Chilean registered car ( and an Australian passport) so it will be a temporary import situation. We have rung about 6 companies so far and none will insure a non USA registered vehicle.   Hi, I have a UK passport and really struggled to insure my UK-registered truck for the US. After much searching a company called Progressive said yes, took my money and sent all the documents - then a month later (a week before my holiday began) they changed their minds and cancelled the insurance, saying it was because I didn't have any other vehicles insured in the US. Thanks a bunch! After a couple of sleepless nights I got insurance with Overland Insurance Services (800-677-4027). They were helpful but required me to have an address in the US, which luckily I have. Another option could be Thoms/Seabridge but for me they were more expensive. Good luck and safe travels!
