  Rebekah, I'm from Northern MO. I don't know if you've checked into it, but Marceline has a huge comic book convention for Walt Disney's birthday or something every year. They have a great group of folks and I think they come from everywhere. If they are willing to go to Marceline, you may be able to find some to come down to see you too :) http://www.toonfest.net/home.html
