The house is beautiful with stunning views, only problem is the nearest shop/bus stop is up a huge hill and around 10/15 mins walk for an able person. I have already checked with taxi companies and they won't do journeys so short because its not worth it for them, also i don't drive and there is nobody to give me a lift. I have applied for PIP, but havent had feedback yet so motability is out of the question and i can't afford a wheelchair or scooter to get me to the shops. I can walk still as only recently diagnosed and dont feel like i would need a permanent chair yet. My question is, do you think i should look into getting a chair/scooter? also, does anybody know of any companies, websites, charities that could help me out as they are expensive and without PIP motabillity compenent yet i can't use them. Thank you, hope everybody is well xNatalie H. replied:If you are too ill to work then you will be entitled to ESA - Employment Support Allowance. This is the out of work benefit which used to be incapacity benefit. This can be started straight away and you need sick notes from your GP to get it. Then they send you for a medical assessment which decides if you can stay on it or not. Again it's a very difficult benefit to keep but you can get some great help filling in the forms and stuff from www.benefitsandwork.co.uk. They are great and have guides on everything. X
