Hello!!! Anyone knows what is the best place to change money in Prague? That is safe and not so high commission?.
David W. replied:
As far as I know, there are still four "good" ones: www.prahaexchange.czwww.exchange.czwww.exchange8.czwww.alfaprague.cz They're all pretty close, though I usually go to Praha Exchange. Two of them are on Kaprova, Praha Exchange is on Jindrisska, and alfaprague is near Palladium. If you can't get at least as good as the rate that www.alfaprague.cz has on their website, you should be going somewhere else to exchange your money.
Any tips on where to get a good USD into CZK exchange rate? I believe banks are always a ripoff and heard that a couple of those exchange booths downtown offer better ones. Is that true?

I haven't had them check that closely recently, but I try to get new bills when I am going to use them for exchange.
Is there a good place to change money late at night in Prague?
David W. replied:
www.prahaexchange.cz is open until 11:45 pm on Tuesday-Saturday (only 9 pm Sunday and Monday according to their website) and is on Jindrisska next to the main post office. The fourth "good one" is http://www.alfaprague.cz/ but they aren't open late, either.
