About us
My name is Helen Mathias-Lowe and Helen's Dog Grooming Salon has been open since August 2011. After completing my GCSE's and A-Levels at Westholme School I went on to complete a three year BSc (Hons) degree in Animal Welfare and Behaviour at Myerscough college, and then i went on to study a years ABC Level 3 course in Dog Grooming.
I have always loved animals, and always wanted to work with them! I breed and show Boston Terriers, and my dogs do very well in the show ring, one of which won Best Of Breed at Crufts in 2007!
At the salon, I am the only groomer there and you will also find my mum behind the desk, helping me dry the dogs, making the shampoo and keeping the salon tidy!
At Helens Dog Grooming Salon we offer a range of treatments including nail clipping, bathing, ear cleaning, shaving, ear plucking, hand stripping and trimming. Prices are subject to breed, coat condition and temprament of the dog. Appointments are now being taken! Make sure you try and book your doggy in 2-3 weeks before it actually needs doing, as appointments get booked up very quickly!
