INGREDIENTS - FRESH ORGANIC SEASONALThe ingredients are something sacred to us, so we really pay attention. We personally visit and select the farmers we are working with. We buy fresh vegetables and organic meat from Czech farmers, and in summer the berries and mushrooms picked in local forests.We spice it all up with special delicacies we bring from Slovenia ... wild asparagus and artichokes in spring, fresh white truffles in autumn, and in the winter organic winter salads, like lamb’s lettuce, radicchio, endive, ruccola.Another treasure that fills up our pantry is the beautiful Dalmatian island Vis: wild capers, salted and marinated anchovies, organic lemons, fresh Mediterranean herbs and spices.OUR CUISINE - RUSTIC AND SIMPLEThe idea behind our cuisine is to have a kind of farm tourism in the centre of the city, the ingredients come from small farms and we prepare dishes in a simple, traditional way, so we like to call it rustic cuisine. We are inspired by the Slovenian culinary heritage which we see as a melting pot of different tastes from the Balkans and the Mediterranean in the South, and the traditions of the Austro-Hungarian Empire in the North East. Our seafood dishes, however, are a tribute to Dalmatian Islands, the almost forgotten recipes that only a few old ladies still remember.OUR WINESWe serve exclusively Slovenian wines, preferably original varieties, such as zelen, pinela, malvazija, rebula, teran ... In selecting wines, we rely on our taste and are pleased to find that our guests accepted the Slovenian original wines with great interest and became very fond of them. We talk to our guests about wines, carefully combining them with each dish to find a perfect marriage of tastes.You will feel comfortable and relaxed in the warm atmosphere of our dining room.
