  One thing to keep in mind with bus tours is that the buses can't get into most of the streets in the old town, so you wind up walking a lot. We did this free tour when I had visitors a few weeks ago and it was really great (I was surprised by how good it was for being free): http://www.newpraguetours.com/. Wittmanns also does great tours of the Jewish quarter and other Jewish sights in town, if that is of interest. (wittmann-tours.com) Both of those options can be booked in advance.
