Scotland's 2015 Wedding Hotel of the Year.
A congratulatory visit to Balbirnie House, from Peter Grant, Glenrothes and central Fife Westminster candidate.
Many Facebook friends are well aware that over recent years Balbirnie House has been a great supporter of the cross party UK wide Cut Tourism Vat campaign, which seeks to fairly re-align tourism Vat down to the same ballparks as other EU countries, in that process enabling us to do even better for the economy in the long term.
This would allow us to pass on greater value to our customers, and to do even better financially for our local community.
- Labour have stated that there are 'no plans to increase Vat' ...!!!!!!!
- The Tory and Lib Dem coalition were pressured over the last 2 years by almost 100 cross party MP's, to act on the firm recommendations of industry and economic think tanks, and following discussions in The House of Parliament, they simply refused to act. In these terms, our industy was ignored.
A re-alignment of Vat is a specific designated part of the SNP Manifesto. On that basis alone, I am personally voting SNP next week.
A re-alignment of Vat would be simply great for UK tourism and hospitality, and will bring even greater eventual tax receipts to the UK government.
