Has anyone tried the new Indian restaurant? Saffron Table?
Lauren E. replied:
They have naan bread, several varieties in fact. It's at the very bottom of the menu. http://www.saffrontable.com/menu.html

I think Saffron Table is, strictly speaking, Pakistani rather than Indian. It is also delicious.

Hold off off Curry Express! We will not go there anymore after giving it several tries both for lunch and dinner........ A fast food place for take out if anything. Although the flavors are good and authentic. The owners are mostly absent and hire incompetent (mostly very young) people to work there who are clueless of ingredients and what dishes they are serving. Curry Express does not use Basimati rice, they serve white rice and white rice colored with Turmeric to give it yellow color. To make you think it has a different flavor then the white rice Not to mention they do NOT make Naan there, they get it in frozen, heat it up and serve it to you only with certain meals. Crazy!!! No offering or evidence of Indian condiments either, no chutney, mint & cilantro mix, yogurt, and so on. I am anxious to try the new place on Mendenhall as well as Saffron Table. Hoping for much better experiences.

Saffron Table was wonderful. A friend and I tried it for the first time this summer. We sat out side and had a great time and wonderful service.
