  Shelley N. wrote: Recently I had a house fire and needed work done to my house.I got Schmidt's Handyman & Renovation to do the work to my house.I won't go into deep detail but I will give the specifics of my experience.The only pro I have to say about this company is the work that Mr.Schmidt himself did was good work but I can't say the same about his sub contractor and his crew.Through this whole experience the cons definitely outweighed the pros by a long shot.Mr.Schmidt's sub contractor and his crew were very sloppy with the painting getting paint on my floors,furniture and carpet to the point where some of the paint didn't come out of the carpet.The communication was horrible on Mr.Schmidt's end as I had to be the one to call and get details 80% of the time through this whole process causing extra stress to an already stressful situation. Mr Schmidt will tell you things that sounds good for the moment but won't follow through on a lot of the things he says.After all the work was done Mr.Schmidt replaced the carpet in one of the bedrooms due to the mess his sub contractor's crew did while painting.The carpet he replaced was a darker shade then the carpet in the other rooms so he offered to replace the carpet in the other rooms to match. Now remember he was the one who offered.He replaced the carpet on November 23rd and told me he will call me to set up a time he can come and replace the other carpet in about a week.Well it's Jan.3 and I still haven't heard from him at all and I'm not calling him as it was his responsibility to contact me.I would not recommend Schmidt's Handyman & Renovation to anyone as I will not do business with this company in the future and I would rather replace the carpet myself and at my own expense verses dealing with the stress and false promises of Schmidt's Handyman & Renovation. As far as I'm concern his services are no longer needed on my end.
