My family owns a soap shop in Ontario and would love to donate soap and other personal hygiene products to people at the camps/shelters/centers for the people of Fort Mac.   Can someone put me in touch with someone on the front line at the Edmonton Relief Center? We have a ton of trucks leaving from Ontario and and want to know where they are MOST needed as we've heard some areas are really in need but can't get supplies and donations because or road blocks and we want to make sure they receive stuff as well.   Is there any place around Edmonton to get donations? We lost everything and the fellow at the expo center said if we wanted to stay around for several hours to register then we might get a change of clothes, but our best bet is to just buy it and claim it through our insurance. It took us a lot to ask for help and we really felt shamed by this guy. Not his fault, but where is all this stuff going that no one is taking? We wanted to get something so that people knew we appreciated their donation and the least we could do was accept it and leave our pride at the door. We where just looking for some toys for our son and maybe a few items of clothing. Just don't want to use up the insurance since that money is going to go fast

  Call the Edmonton Emergency Relief@780 428-4422. That is where the large amount of donations are ( everything from toiletries to clothes). They have a few warehouses. Call and they will help. Stay Strong.

  Where's the place to go to drop off a bunch of supplies , came from GP loaded and looking to help ? Looking for a contact for to bring the fuel ( couple thousand litres of diesel and gas, formula ,diapers ,wipes ,toilet paper, food lots of stuff ! Andrew Turner

  Edmonton Emergency Relief Services. They are now putting out a call for donations and volunteers. Specifically, they are collecting diapers, baby wipes, NEW toiletries (such as soap, shampoo, tampons, toothpaste etc.) and NEW socks and underwear. Please don't bring them random old stuff! Take your donations, NOT to the Expo Centre, but to the ERS offices, downtown at 10255 104 th Street. They will distribute them where they are needed most. If you'd like to volunteer, please call 780-428-4422. Nicole says that if you don't get an answer right away, please leave a message, and they'll get back to you.
