Took my GrandDaughters wedding dress to erol's i...all it needed was the halter strap removed and a few beads added to the gown... when i picked it up, i realized, all they had done was lop off the strap (unevenly, I might add) tucked the loose strap ends into the gown bra, and whipstitch itthe straps into place ... since the straps were not cut evenly, they also were not pulled down evenly, thus causing the once heartshaped bustline to be pointed on one side, and rounded , as it should be on the other... for this horribly unprofessional job, i was charged $350.00..for $350.00 I expected the job to be done right! I expected them to open the seam at heartshaped bustline, take the straps out , tuck everything back into the seam and reclose the seam.. That is how it should have been done.. If I were to ask a 12 year old to take the strap off.. they would have done exactly as erol's did.. I expect that from a 12 Year old.. NOT from a professional tailor..! shame be upon you erol's for doing such a horribly unprofessional job on a gil's wedding dress, with no time for me to have repairs made due to your shoddy workmanship!!! once again, and I can't say it enough!!! Shame On You Erol/s...
Recommendations for a good tailor/seamstress? I have some pants that need tailoring. I could also use some shirts/sweaters that need sewing and buttons added back on. Is there anybody you suggest?

I take all my business to Erol's. He greets each person that walks in with a smile and a handshake and has always done a great job for me. I have had him do pants, shirts, and suits. He is not the cheapest tailor I have used, but he is the best. http://www.erolstailoring.com/
Anyone know of a good seamstress for hems and kick pleats nesr the west side who is reasonably priced? I don't want my hem to fall out the second time I wear the garment; I want the hem to last. Any leads?

Lauren - (303) 377-2400 - really sweet couple. my husband who was spoiled on tailoring in NYC loves them and won't go anywhere else. They've done phenomenal jobs for me too.
Anyone in Denver have a great tailor/seamstress that they would recommend? Thanks!

Eryn, you need to go see the Erol & Filiz Yilmaz at Erol's Tailoring ( http://www.erolstailoring.com/ ). They are amazing tailors, and they are some of the nicest people that you'll ever meet.
