  After speaking to a lot of owners of businesses in Shockoe Bottom today, i felt a sense of comradarie with many of them.. There is a singular goal now.. to bring back the bottom.. If you work in an office, or for a construction company, or a cleaners, or in a cubicle.. and want to help the bottom, maybe bring us up for suggestions for your companies Christmas party that needs to be planned, Lulus (since 2006), Rosie O' Connolys (since 2005), Sumosan (since 2002), Havana(since 1997), McCormack's Irish pub(since 1998), Tiki Bobs(since 2000), Cest la Vine(since 2008), Wonderland (since 2002), mars bar (since 2001), Juleps (since 1997), Halligans (since 2006), River City Diner (since 1991).. any one of us have been around for a long time now, and would like to help you plan that party.. (I was going on memory for dates, i may be off by a year or so on some!) Salons like scissors (since 1996), soft parade (since 1990), and daves barbershop (since 1923) can help you look and feel beautiful, garages like Island Imports (since 1990), and Scotts motor company (since 1954) as well.. Gifts for your more friends can be had from custom framing by fraelin framing (since 1989), and Kulture (since 2001). People have not been coming out to our firmly established businesses because of the violence that happens outside of a few places at 2 am.. If that keeps happening maybe next christmas there will be less options.. which would be sad to see so many great places potentially close because of a few bad eggs. Please share this on your pages, maybe bring some business out to some folks that can really use it.. thanks so much everyone!
