About us
Little Lodgers is run by myself, Patricia, offering services in and around Romford, Essex.We are here to train and care for your pets when you can't. What ever your care needs may be, I offer a range of services to suit. I am qualified in animal care and are fully insured for your peace of mind.
Our services include small animal boarding, dog walking, cat visits and home visits so you can rely on us whether you’re away for a few days or weeks. We additional offer a behaviour advisory service for when things are not going as planned.
We are pleased to also offer pet photography service to enable you to capture those precious moments. Photos can be taken out on location or in the home and if you want to get in with photo, then we happily encourage it.
Qualifications & Experience
I am qualified to care for all types of animals with an advanced national certificate in animal management from City and Guilds and higher education in animal management from the University of Essex. In addition, I am a qualified DipCABT COAPE Behaviour Advisor and can offer basic training and behavioural advice, I am particularly experienced with dogs, rodents, rabbits and guinea pigs.
I have previously done a mixture of paid and voluntary work for Woodgreen Animal Shelter, Chestnut Cat Sanctuary and as part of the animal unit team in Writtle college.
I currently write training, behaviour and pet advice articles for a magazine which I thoroughly enjoy and I am working to become a Companion Animal Bach Flower Practitioner.
Additionally, I am currently a student at the Photography Institute looking to gain further education and experience in the field of photography and specifically animal photography. To find out more visit our photography page.
I have over 10 years experience in animal care and have been running Little Lodgers since 2012. I have 1 rabbit, a small dog and volunteer when needed for dog rescue and training and behaviour centres.
