Recommendations for December weekend visit Hoping to hear some recommendations from you guys for a weekend visit Dec 28-31. My girlfriend and I are driving down from Winnipeg and we'll be staying downtown near the Target center. Here's what we have planned so far:
* Wolves game
* Inbound Brewery tour
* Flour mill museum
* MOA shopping
* Lots of good eats and drinks (brunch, speakeasy/pub, coffee shops, etc.)
* Ice skating (not sure where)
Gf loves brunch and def wants to go skating so hoping to hear some recommendations especially for those. Thanks in advance!

Well.. I suppose that depends as it may be 50... or -19. Seriously. I love [Parlor Burgers](https://www.parlourbar.com/). [Surly Brewing](https://surlybrewing.com/) is a pretty amazing venue (I don't personally care for their beer much, but it's a beautiful space and the food is great). [I Like You](https://i-like-you-minneapolis.myshopify.com/) is a cool place to buy some MN wares. [Glamdoll Donuts](https://glamdolldonuts.com/) is right down the street from I Like You. I would also recommend driving up West River Road to [Minnehaha Park and Falls](https://www.minneapolisparks.org/parks__destinations/parks__lakes/minnehaha_regional_park)

**Beer:**
I have to second that Surly's beer isn't that good, however the space is pretty amazing and their food is good. If you want great beer I'd suggest Modist (Downtown Minneapolis) or Barrel Theory (St. Paul). Modist is right by Fulton and Inbound so you can hit them all. Also go to Dangerous Man and have their Peanut Butter Porter.
**Food:**
I'd suggest Hola Arepa, Revival (There are multiple. A place called Keg and Case opened that has multiple vendors, including Revival.), Parlour, Young Joni (right next to Dangerous Man and also has a speak easy) and Butcher and the Boar.
**Things to Do:**
For ice skating, I believe Loring Park has outdoor skating.
Yes, definitely check out Minnehaha Falls! If you can, walk behind the falls for some amazing colors, but it's been warmer so you may not be able to.
Also, definitely go to the Guthrie and check out the Yellow Room "Bridge to Nowhere." I'm not sure if they will have the winter farmers market, but the Flour Mill, next door, usually has one.
Minneapolis Art Museum is pretty cool and it's free.
Heading to #Chicago this weekend with stops in #Pittsburgh and #Detroit for a pre-move writing trip. Restaurant suggestions welcome!
