River's homemade baby food all portioned out, ready to freeze! A good friend (who is a former Chef) came over and gave me some awesome ideas like these. The juice in the snappies is from the apple peels! Simmer, drain, pour and freeze. I used some today instead of water and mixed with breastmilk. A good tip from our home nutritionist and something to keep in mind is stick to the same veggie or fruit for at least 3 days and don't mix until baby has had both items separately. This will help you pinpoint any possible allergies or tummy resistance. River is loving homemade baby food and I like that I can maximize his caloric intake and tweak it :) Good stuff.
