Does anyone know an old-school mechanic that could get my carburetor adjusted just right on my '69 302, and does anybody know someone who could do a front end alignment on the same car with a TCP rack?

Sorry about that. You might also try the Quick Lane service center on Gunn Hwy. They're part of Bill Currie Ford (our Club sponsor) and I know they have worked on some early cars. They are open on Saturday. Call the manager, Gary Phillips, and see if they can help. http://www.quicklane.com/service_center...
Can anyone recommend a trustworthy mechanic? Looking for a used car and want to get a second opinion before I sign anything.

We take our car to Quick Lane in Lake City, and they give full diagnostics on your car with a printed report. It's color coded by how bad things are, and they give you full estimates for repair. They were really great with figuring out the quirks of our car and planning for repair. Here's the website: http://www.quicklane.com/service_center...
