I need help, asap!
I recently had a geothermal system installed at my house. This necessitated a tear-up of my front lawn that was more disruptive than I imagined.
I had purchased seed for groundcovers, shrubs, etc, but it will take more than sowing seed to rehabilitate the yard. What thin layer of soil I had is now gone, replaced by a sheet of clay and boulders of jumbo-gumbo. I temporarily relocated 3 small citrus trees from the front yard. Previously they were surrounded by small berms and swales on a gentle slope, which have now been obliviated. I need to relocate the trees, break up the clay and re-create the earthworks, which is too big a job for one woman.
To assist in this project, we are looking for a permaculturist-landscaper, if they exist. Someone with the knowledge to guide us in relocating the fruit trees, creating water catchment earthworks and re-planting, who can also provide some muscle for digging and moving the clay.
I'm just looking for someone competent and trustworthy who can use permaculture principles to help guide this restoration and get the yard back to where it was pre-drilling, and set it up to grow strong and sustainably into the future. If you know anyone right for the job, I would love to work with them.
