  Update on Melody - she hasn't been feeling very well so we went to see the vet this afternoon. She had a physical and blood work and it was discovered her platelets are extremely low. A tick snap test is pending to see if that is the cause. Melody came from the Coachella Valley Animal Shelter and ticks have been particularly bad this year in that area. She is now on steroids to increase her platelets, an antibiotic in case it is tick borne and pain meds as she seems to have a sore neck as well. We are also looking for a local store who carries the Chinese herb Yunan Baiyao which helps to stop bleeding. Melody has to stay quiet and sedate to prevent any bleeding and bruising. Please keep Melody in your thoughts to get her through this critical time.
