About us
It was in 1999 that Ana and Teresa’s paths crossed. Realising we shared a joint interest in good Spanish food and wine, we spent the next few years enjoying gastronomic trips through Spain with friends, particularly through the North of the country at any given opportunity, enjoying the superb wines of the Rias Baixas, the fish & seafood, the broad selection of artisan cheeses and incredible taste and variety of Spanish charcuterie.
Conversations were always around food and we often talked about how great it would be to work with food in some way. So whilst still working full-time we set up 'Flavours of Spain’, more of a hobby to start with due to work commitments but always dedicating any spare time to the venture. Our main focus was to source from small and artisan producers, rather than from the more commercial, large scale manufacturers already present in the UK, to introduce something better.
