  I am not a runner, but I hike a lot and have had jobs where I was on my feet for 8+ hours and flat feet that require orthotics. A runner friend of mine recommended Tenda Foot in Danvers - http://tendafoot.net/ I have been very happy with the custom orthotics that have been made for me there. My insurance has never covered orthotics, so compared to prescription ones, the price, while not cheap, is reasonable and really worth it to me. Hope this helps!
