About us

We are a family owned and operated farm located in rural, Franklin County. We are committed to producing the highest quality meats and eggs from animals ethically raised on pasture. Our intensive production model involves strict pasture and species rotation to improve the land while protecting the health and well-being of our animals. Herbal and natural methods are used in their care. We are committed to supporting as many local businesses as we possibly can. Our feeds are non-medicated and animal by-product free. Our grass hay is also locally sourced. Products are available at the Wake Forest Farmers Market and Midtown Farmers Markets year round. Visitors are welcomed by appointment only.

Walk Ahead Farm at the Wake Forest Farmer's Market has pork tongue, and other animal kidneys, not sure about pork. They do not raise veal. They are pastured and free of antibiotics and hormones. The hours are 10-12 every Saturday and they take CC. The other meat vendors may carry some of the same and I do know they carry cow tongue. https://www.facebook.com/WalkAheadFarms/
