How we started
One day during break time, I dragged myself to the internet café and that is when I stumbled across a food blog online.
I had always loved to bake (a gene my Grandmother and everyone is my family is blessed with) so this seemed like a perfect way to escape those days where I did not have classes.
I figured it would be a creative outlet, perhaps nudge me to try some new, more challenging recipes.
I come from a big family, where if you bake, it’s not a must that you share what you made, but humanity. We even shared with the neighbours. That was over five years ago and, as they say, the rest is history. What an amazing journey this has been!
What you’ll find here are some of my favourite food groups: desserts, appetizers and loads of comfort food, all made primarily from scratch. Growing up in a Sotho family, the kitchen was always the hub of activity – it’s where everyone gathered to talk, eat and share life while amazing food was being created.
I am so happy to have you here in my virtual kitchen/bakery and hope you’ll return again and again.
Delicious Treats is our passion. Inspired by the unique nouvelle cuisines we've experienced around the world, we created these Gourmet Party Bites, Cakes (Biscuits, Muffins, Cupcakes etc.) so we could share our favourites with you. We've personally selected and created each recipe and Gourmet bites, with an eye for diverse taste and distinctive presentation.
