We want each of our patients to be as excited about your smile as we are. So with every cleaning and “check-up” exam, for patients 18 years and older, we offer free professional teeth whitening. Unlike many over the counter products which often cause tooth sensitivity and can even erode tooth enamel, we use a professional product, “Nupro White Gold”. This is a long established product that uses 10% Carbamide Peroxide which is the least likely of whitening products to cause sensitivity. This process will not only whiten teeth without damaging the enamel but it will also buffer the acids created by bacteria. It’s this acid which initiates tooth decay. This product usually takes a few weeks, providing most patients a deep, rich and stable color change.
Not all patients are candidates for teeth whitening. Some will require additional cosmetic work to reach a desired outcome. All of these possibilities can be discussed with you during your check up appointment.
