  Has anyone done their own paperwork regarding guardianship of a loved one? I can't really afford a lawyer, so I'd like to hear from those who have done this solo. Helpful comments appreciated greatly. Negative comments meh, not so much! P.s. I know about legal aid. Moreso, want to hear personal experience/tips.

I think they charge you for the packet at the Courthouse. You will have to pay the filing fee and for an attorney to represent the proposed incapacitated person and for the Court Investigator. Make sure you get the medical statement documenting the incapacity and include when you file.
