My fiancée and I recently adopted a black lab that is a little over a year old. He is a gentle soul but very playful and we would love to get him to the point where he's capable of playing nice in the Frick Park dog parks. Looking through Yelp, most of the dog training reviews cover more about grooming and day care services and there's a lot to piece through. So I thought I'd reach out to Reddit! Anyone out there have any suggestions for dog obedience classes? We are looking for group classes that owners take part in. Any help is greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance!!

  For many dogs, where you have simple needs, the classes at PetSmart will do a lot at teaching YOU how to train you dog. Which is the actual key to good dog behavior, letting you know how to be a good human.   Look for a dog trainer. A really good one, that won't cost an arm and a leg. One that specializes in aggressive/possessive behavior. Also can work with anxiety in public!
