About us
Whether you’re an experienced musician, or if you’ve never picked up an instrument before, at Performance Play Music School our goal is to help you enjoy the gift of music. Take semi-private or private music lessons with our well-qualified instructors: we offer semi-private lessons for piano and guitar, and private music lessons for all instruments (private singing lessons are also given at our Aurora location). Private lessons for kids and adults are once a week and can be either 30, 45, or 60 minutes long. Take private guitar lessons (including acoustic, bass, and electric guitar), or learn how to play the piano, keyboard, drums, violin, clarinet, trumpet, trombone, flute, French horn, tuba, or a variety of other band and orchestra instruments.
In addition to our music lessons, kids and adults can enjoy taking part in our performance-based music classes. These fun sessions allow for musicians of various abilities to play and learn together. Our youth performance tracks include three skill levels. Rock and pop music are the curriculum’s general focus, but if you play an orchestra or band instrument, you’re more than welcome to join in the fun! You’ll develop teamwork skills and become friends with your classmates. We also offer voice performance sessions for aspiring singers.
For adult musical performance sessions, we have a variety of styles to choose from, including: two rock band sessions, blues, jazz, bluegrass, folk, country, acoustic, and more. Our music instructors provide musical charts, instruction, and teaching aids. And all the heavy gear is set up and ready to play (and we run sound).
If you have children between ages 6 months and 5 years, we have early childhood music classes just for them! Help your kids develop an appreciation for music through listening to simple songs, dancing, and singing. And for those 3-5 years, your kids will get to play different instruments. If you’re looking for a rockin’ birthday party facility in the Aurora area (for kids or adults), check out Performance Play Music School. Your group will get to jam out on instruments and even perform a rock & roll show (complete with lights and a fog machine)! Regardless of the group’s musical abilities, you’re sure to have a good time.
We also offer spring, summer, and holiday music camps (visit our website for a complete list of events). Music camps are a fun way to immerse yourself in a rock/pop band for a week. Birthday parties give participants a taste of performing music for a few hours.
Performance Play Music School also has a selection of instruments for sale and to rent. Choose from a limited selection of acoustic and electric guitars, beginner drum kits and keyboards, as well as print music and accessories (such as guitar strings, drumsticks, reeds, oils, guitar cables, etc.).
