  These are concrete pavers. Saw a beautiful application at the recent Atlanta Home Show - check out Soil Retention, plantable concrete solutions, at www.soilretention.com. Their product comes in sheets of similar pavers connected by a grid. A company Super Sod in Lawrenceville was showcasing this product (www.supersod.com). It's great for paths, driveways, and all kinds of applications where you need a permeable surface. It can be seeded if you want grass or you can simply use a pea gravel or similiar fill material.
