  I always had a soft spot for the old ladies at [El Sol]( http://elsol.ca). It's not fancy and they take *forever* to bring food but I liked having an extra beer and chatting with my friends, then eating some good stuff like I imagine my mexican grandma would make. If I was mexican. Which I'm not even remotely ;) Disclaimer : I moved away and haven't been there in 2 years.
