  Craving good Tex-Mex. After 9 years in Texas I'm back in KC and find the Mexican places...well, lacking. Any suggestions? Especially North of the River. So far Ixtapa is the best I've found and their salsa just is not good. Thanks for all the suggestions...as I noted to someone in the comments, finding good Tex-Mex here is like trying to find good BBQ in other cities in the US. We are used to having dozens of excellent places to choose from, whereas the poor citizens of other cities have no idea what they are missing. If you happen to make it to Chicago go to any of Rick Bayless' restaurants, in Dallas head to Mariano's or Primo's, in San Antonio go to Rosario's....then you will know, and love Tex-Mex....it is different from standard Mex in the way KC BBQ is different from St. Louis and Memphis BBQ.
