So I love to eat. When I'm not eating I think about what I'll be eating next. Or which restaurant to visit in the weekend (or maybe a Monday. Or a Thursday...). I haven't been to all restaurants in the city, not even close, not even half of them. But I'm working my way through them as fast as I can..! I'm that annoying person who doesn't let anybody eat before I've taken a picture. I'm also that annoying person who stands up at a restaurant to get that perfect angle of all the dishes on the table. So sorry about that. But somebody's gotta do it!
Here in Barcelona Food Experience, my little corner of the universe, I'm gathering all the places I love. If there's some place you think is missing please let me know, because maybe I haven't been there yet. The reviews here are completely subjective but I try to avoid negative comments about restaurants, so if I didn't like it I haven't included it here. It's by no means a complete list of restaurants, just a place where I gather my favorites.
Here you can find my favorite restaurants for brunching, for drinking, for splurging, for eating where the locals eat, you name it. I also have a section of my favorite restaurants in different neighborhoods. And obviously I have a blog! There I'm writing down all kinds of food related stories. Oh, and there's a travel section too! If you like what you see about Barcelona then you might like the places I've visited in New York, Berlin, San Francisco or elsewhere.
So what is a good restaurant in my humble opinion? It's a place where I get friendly service and tasty food that's not too expensive. And it needs to have that little something. Maybe it's the atmosphere. Maybe it's the obvious love that the chef puts in each dish that goes out from the kitchen. Maybe it's the great conversation I can have with my dinner companion. Sometimes it's authenticity that does it for me. Sometimes it's all the healthy options on the menu.
