  My friend's Mum got hers from this specialist 'mother of the bride' shop in Fareham : http://www.davinasladiesfashion.co.uk

  Again not independent but my mum got her outfit for my brother's wedding from Hobbs, as did my mother in law for my sister in laws wedding. Winchester store were lovely and so helpful. Failing that there's a shop on the old High Street in Fareham that have more "one off" outfits called Davina's.
