  I'm not looking for a roommate or anything, but I've found it to be really hard to decide on a management company or apartment complex in my search! So many them have a wide range of reviews, and I don't know whether to believe any of the ranting and raving. Anybody have recommendations on which management companies or apartment buildings to check out, or definitely stay away from? I'm not looking to be super close to campus, anything in the isthmus area is fine with me.

  I lived in lucky last year (Steve brown apartments) and it was amazing. 24/7 concierge, same day maintenance, always super friendly. Some even knew me by name! Only complaint is I've never received responses to the few emails I've sent to the address listed on liveatlucky.com. They always answer the phone and even have a live chat so it wasn't a huge deal though. I live at GC now (LZ mgmt) and it's pretty good too. Staff here is friendly. Only complaint is the first day I lived here my key fob didn't work so I was basically trapped in my apartment. I called their 24 h maintenance emergency line and they said someone would get right back to me and never did.
