  so I'm planning on casting my own anvil, before we go down this road...yes I know that anvils were forged back in the day and yes I know it's easier to buy one, but I'm going to school for metallurgy and I need a project for my casting class and I wanted something I could actually make use of, but I'm wondering if anyone on here has ever done this or knows anyone who has, and if anyone out there has any advise related to this topic, I'm thinking around 120 pounds due to the size of the furnace and amount of yield (thinking ductile iron)
