About us
Monique Lorèn is an enthusiastic, driven and incredibly passionate artist. Her background of; lifestyle, fashion, bridal hair- and makeup artistry allows her to express her abilities across a spectrum of disciplines. Monique’s passion is not bound by borders as she travels internationally to learn new “tricks of the trade”. She has traveled to France, Las Vegas, New York, Turkey, Bali and all over South Africa (where she is based).
Monique recently won the REDKEN SOUTH AFRICA Own It Awards 2016 (Junior <10years experience). Her work has been featured and published in magazines and media platforms such as BELLA Magazine(cover), Health Intelligence(cover), Hairdresser’s Journal, ELLE Online, SARIE Tydskrif Online, Intiem Tydskrif(cover), Rolling Inspiration(cover), Hairdresser’s Journal, Southern Bride and Jou Troudag.
Monique also worked and collaborated with larger companies such as GHD South Africa (Mercedes Benz Cape Town Fashion Week), Hanri Human Photography, E-Models, Miglio Jewellery South Africa, Pearl and Ivory, Ciska Barnard Couture, Kobus Rautenbach, Nette Rose, Superior House of Clothing, Anella Wedding Shoes and Trademark Pictures.
She collaborated/worked on with local and international names like Liezel van der Westhuizen (online/radio personality), Jacqui and Michael Mol (television personality), Christia Visser(actress) Amalia Uys (actress), Simone’ Nortmann(actress), Rati Lekalakala(model), Gerhard Kellermann (model), Ilze Saunders Buys (Miss Earth) and Fane Wang (model).
“Hair and makeup artistry isn’t just my career and passion… It’s what makes me happy.
I love people and people love to feel beautiful, this is why I’ve spent most of my life focused on making people look and feel the best that they can!
I believe in enjoying life, one memory at a time. A simple thing like badly applied makeup or a poorly executed hair style, may detract from the experience of these moments. Given how scarce these special moments occur, this drives me to help my clients shine with self confidence. A little “polishing” transforms into so much more. It’s not just hair and makeup… it’s confidence.”
