  The hold isn't permanent, unless you didn't stop the wash when you were finished. Because the wash doesn't know how long you'll be washing for, there is a hold for until it can be processed of your actual time used. Usual time is 24 hours/1-2 business days. We usually go to Grease Monkey but it is costing us $45 each time after the coupon we use is applied (apparently because our car has a lot of miles on it they use "high mileage oil" which bumps up the price significantly).   We go to Ray's Chevron--great service and decent price. You sometimes get a car wash thrown in with your service (like $7 value), or you can upgrade. I think we paid $32.95 last time.
