  About CJ Hole... Me and my partner are renting through them since last September in Southville. We refused last month to pay their fees to renew the contract because there is no legal obligation to pay once again (we already paid their fees when we moved in). We just received a notice of eviction without any explanation but we assume it's because we haven't paid their fee. We are about to write to them to ask the reason but before do that we want to know if anyone has had a similar experience with CJ Hole or other agency ? Thanks !

  Does anyone know the opening times for CAB in Launceston please?

  The service in Launceston has always been on an outreach basis from the main office in Bodmin. In the days when it was run by North Cornwall CAB it ran every Tuesday morning in the Orchard and then in the NCDC Office in the Market Arcade where it was by appointment only. When One Cornwall happened the 6 bureaux in Cornwall had to merge to form CAB Cornwall as the new Cornwall Council wanted to deal with one organisation. since then a lot has changed and I am unclear what is now happening with Launceston. best thing is to look on the CAB Cornwall website or call 03444 111 444 or text CAB to 82727 - office hours is best I think. I believe they now work on a triage system where callers are initially sorted as to how best to deal with their query and this may mean a phone call or an appointment. I would be interested to hear how you get on having worked with CAB for some time in the past. The thing to remember with CAB is that it is a charity receiving little funding from the government and reliant on volunteers who make up 90% of their staff so please be patient if you cannot be seen immediately. Having been on the sharp end I know what it is like trying to juggle 10 people in a morning all of whom have critical problems.
