I have an elder Corgi that I am keeping at what was Roger's Veterinary (Now Cypress Creek) in Smithfield until she passes, but want to have an alternative for my Lab puppy closer to home.   Does anyone know of a good vet that doesn't charge crazy prices. We've been going to Brentwood for years but their pricing has gotten insane for our little 9lb dog. Seems they always want to run all these crazy tests for this and that and we never get out of there for under $300. They even told us last time we needed heartworm because our old heartworm had expired. (I don't give it to him during the winter.) Well, when we got home we still had over a year left on the expiraton. Granted, we only had one pill left but it's always a sales pitch with them.
