  Ok, I'm going to reach out. Someone I know is in dire need of an oral surgeon, dentures the whole shebang. This person is on SSDI and Medicare and has CML, chronic myeloid leukemia. There is no dental coverage in Medicare, which I'm surprised. They don't know where to turn for help or how to pay for this. I've already contacted the UOP, they used to do this kind of service, but no longer.

  Kathy, I spoke with my cousin. She said that she knows of a place that helps Chester County residents. However, she suggested you call them and they may be able to direct you to help in Delaware County, as a lot of the agencies work together.   Late night reader question just came in.. Help! My husband has a terrible tooth ache and we suspect he needs a wisdom tooth removed but we no longer have dental insurance. We're looking for a quality, and AFFORDABLE dentist in the Eastern Chester County area (Berwyn-Exton) who will not gouge us. Our previous dentist was expensive even with insurance. We called someone in the area and the office would charge us over $600 just to diagnose. Another recommended we go straight to an oral surgeon (!!). I have heard there are some dentists willing to charge patients paying out of pocket the same rates they would accept from an insurance company, but we've yet to find one. Any recommendations would be much appreciated!
