About us

The Edgar Allan Poe Museum explores the life and legacy of the writer Edgar Allan Poe through exhibits and public programs. We boast the world's finest collection of Poe artifacts and memorabilia, including the author's clothing, trunk, letters, bed, and even a lock of his hair. Our four-building complex surrounds an Enchanted Garden and Poe Shrine constructed from various buildings in which Poe lived or worked. Guided and self-guided tours explore Poe's tragic life with a focus on his many years in Richmond and his greatest literary contributions. Visit our website for more information! Guided tours begin Tuesday-Sunday at 11, 1, and 3. Self-guided tours are available during business hours.

I am maid of honor in my friends wedding and they just had to cancel their venue because of rules and regualtions that were not told to them upon choosing that venue or last minute restrictions that does not work for their wedding.
