To consider “ Kat’s Kafe” to be yet another downtown purveyor of sandwich/salad offerings would be selling owner/chef Katrina Chipman Smith short. Her vision for “ Kat’s Kafe” is her interpretation of the basic recipe for a café/bakery, ‘tweaked’ to provide a delicious sampling of her culinary talents. Customers, who will soon become regulars, will find a daily menu of offerings which will incorporate some of the best of the locally grown fruits and vegetables in a variety of freshly made salads and dressings, specialty sandwiches alongside a signature few, homemade breads and rolls, with ample beverage selections to compliment their choice. Fresh from the oven specialties such as gooey oversized cookies, jumbo muffins featuring tasty combinations of fresh fruits, heavenly arrays of delectably sinful cupcakes, artful cakes and pies will make the most resolute dieter park a bit further away in order to indulge guilt-free.
“Kat’s Kafe” will always have gluten-free items available daily in addition to fulfilling special orders. This same commitment to meeting special dietary needs such as nut-free, kosher, etc., will also be accommodated as the need arises.
“Kat’s Kafe” will offer regular selection of prepared meals. We intend to provide a couple of tasty main dish selections daily which will no doubt be appreciated by folks preferring not to heat up their own kitchen or face a sinkful of pots and pans after working all day. Full catering services will be available for any type of business or private occasion, including delivery and set-up.
