  Does anyone here have an SA dog? My spoo mix has started having this in her coat. It's localized, but my vet has not heard of the test for SA. Also if anyone has suggestions for a vet in Beaufort, SC I'd be very appreciative. I love our current place, but I think I may need to have her seen by a specialist.

  Your vet "should" know the test for SA. However most skin conditions are lumped under the general umbrella / category: sebaceous adinitis: Some dogs do well on the drug Atopica if they tolerate it, & the problem is "clinically" SA.
